Lt. Governor and BCBSNC Foundation Chairman to visit to discuss Nurse-Family Partnership's impact in Pitt County
On Wed., June 23 at 10:00a, Pitt County Health Department officials will hold a roundtable discussion with North Carolina Lt. Governor Walter Dalton and the chairman of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina Foundation, Brad Wilson, to brief them on Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) in Pitt County. NFP is a nationally-recognized, evidence-based program that pairs registered nurses with at-risk mothers. The group will discuss how the program is transforming the lives of first-time, low-income Pitt County parents and their children.
The roundtable will be held at the East Carolina Heart Institute at East Carolina University on 115 Heart Drive, Greenville
(near the Brody School of Medicine and behind Pitt County Memorial Hospital).
